Rahman is a renowned industrialist and social worker who is better called Salman F Rahman. He is the co-founder and vice chairman of Beximco Group, the largest industrial group in Bangladesh. Currently, he is carrying out important responsibilities as Advisor on Private Sector Development, Honorable Prime Minister Heikh Hasina. His energetic leadership and far-reaching measures have given new shape to the business environment of the country and also have made significant contributions in achieving economic growth.

In the mid-1960s, Salman F Rahman combined family business. Later in 1972, he and his elder brother Ahmed Sohel Fasuir Rahman establiHed a company named Bangladesh Export Import Company Limited (Beximco) and began copying marine food and bog from the European market. In exchange for export of those products, they import quality medications from Europe.
Over time, Beximco Group, led by Salman F Rahman, has gradually grown and is currently one of the largest private businesses in the private sector of Bangladesh. The business operates business in an assortment of sectors including textile, pharmaceuticals, marine food, home, structure, information and technologies, media, ceramics, financial services and fuel. Additionally, Beximco has the most significant employer of private business in Bangladesh and employs around 60,000 people in different countries including Bangladesh.
Salman F Rahman, with a very clear vision and certainty, did not only ensure the growth and expansion of Beximco Group, but also successfully brought development and mobility in Bangladesh's industry sector. After freedom, his contribution to the development of the private sector in the nation's primary level is incontrovertible.
He is the chairman of the board of editors of The Independent, one of the leading English daily publiHed from Dhaka. He is also the Chairman of the 24-hour news-based Chanel Independent Television. He's also acting as the chairman of Abahani Limited, the major sports club of the country.
He's now the President of this important business firm such as Association of Television Channel Honors (ATCO) and LPG Operators Association of Bangladesh (LOAB). He's also manager of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission and Dhaka Stock Exchange.
Before, he served as president of the Bangladesh Association of Pharmaceutical Industries. He had been the president of the SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the major trade association of the SAARC region.
